‘Twas Verily a Great Day!

A day fit for a king! Wednesday 28 November saw Henry VIII holding court in Year 5. The Junior Hall was transformed into a banqueting hall with feasting, dancing, music and much laughter and merriment! The teachers and parents (servants!) wore their finest Tudor costumes and all looked amazing!  The children enjoyed dressing-up as executioners, courtiers, pick-pockets, jesters, members of the Royal Court and famous Tudor Kings and Queens.

The children also took part in a game of strategy and tried to re-write the historical battle of Bosworth with some very realistic enactments! Callum Dawson said “The Battle of Bosworth was the best part of the day. We all had great fun!”

The children also took part in a carousel of activities, drama and role-play. Everyone had a fantastic time and would like to extend our thanks to the wonderful parent volunteers for creating our banqueting hall and The Dilmun Club for providing the feast.
