Dancing through the Decades

Year 6 History Day gave the children an opportunity to celebrate the end of their history unit, Changes in Britain since 1948. On this day, children, teachers and parents dressed in costumes of their designated decade.

Madonna look-a-likes boogied with spikey-haired punks, while leather-clad 50’s boys strutted their stuff. Whilst feasting on  goodies, the children entertained each other with songs and music from each decade. Feet were soon tapping when the revellers hit the dance floor. A big thank you to parents who provided the food and helped to decorate the hall. It was a most enjoyable and colourful afternoon.
