Fantastic French

Over sixty students from St Christopher’s Junior and Senior Schools sat the DELF A1.1, A1, A2, B1 and B2 on Saturday 8 and Saturday 15 June 2013, at the Alliance Francaise. Mrs Chebel notes that “Delf Prim (A1.1) is the first level in the Delf/ Dalf series of certificates awarded by the French Ministry of Education for proficiency in French as a foreign language. It assesses the four language skills: listening and reading comprehension, speaking and writing skills.  We hope all our students enjoyed this experience and we wish them every success”. Many students have now achieved an A2 level , which is only two levels away from the level that allows students access to universities in France. The examiners of the Alliance Francaise mentioned how very impressed they were by the level of French St Christopher’s School students have achieved. Congratulations to all students who sat these examinations, we all are eagerly awaiting the imminent publication of the results. The Award Ceremony is scheduled for October 2013.
