 Shop Until You Drop

It had rained and rained, the puddles would be better described as lakes, and the roads were brim-full of struggling traffic the day that Year 1 went to Géant Supermarket to buy their fruit to make their fruit salads. Previously, all the children had tasted different fruit and created their own recipes for their own fruity masterpiece. Clutching their shopping lists and with 1BD each, they (with the help of many parent helpers) selected, weighed and paid for their fruit. Then it was back on the buses and homeward bound to begin the job of peeling, chopping (no fingers, we are pleased to say) slicing, arranging and tasting. Even Ian Fellows had to concede that Year 1 pupils make a pretty mean fruit salad. Well done, chefs!
