Great Footy!

On Friday 24 January, St Christopher’s School hosted the BSME U11 football competition at their Saar campus. It was a marvelous day with some great football played by the girls, making sure they kept up the winning tradition of the girls in previous years. After 6 hard games the St Christopher’s A team won the competition and the B team won the plate competition. Well done to all the girls who competed. Charlotte Pilgrim said, “We played so well as a team”. Rebecca Lambert, Director of Girls Football commented, “I was thrilled that all of the hard work in training paid off.”

On Saturday 25 January, 10 teams from around the Gulf region converged on the hallowed turf of St Christopher’s School. After 6 hours of grueling football and a cracking final, Doha College were crowned champions, with the St Christopher’s School A team winning the 3/4th place play-off to collect the bronze medals. The team will be looking for revenge at the upcoming BSME Games in Abu Dhabi. Louis Mulleague said,” I really enjoyed the competition because it was really well run and some great footy was played.”
