A Walk through the Past

StChrisDuring the last week of October, all Year 1 pupils visited The National Museum of Bahrain. This is an outing that kick-starts our study of the heritage and culture of The Kingdom of Bahrain – a study that culminates in our Bahraini Coffee Morning. All classes adored searching for important artefacts (including the Dilmun seal that served as inspiration for our school logo), wandered through the diorama of the old souk, learned about the contents of an ancient burial mound and found St Christopher’s on the giant aerial photograph that makes the floor of the main hall. Teachers and accompanying parents all agreed that our children struck the right balance between enthusiasm and good behaviour – well done and shukran to all.
