A-Level Performances

Y13Drama

On the 20 and 21 October, the Year 13 Drama students performed their Unit 3 devised pieces to an invited audience. These pieces were devised by the Year 13 students based on their own choices of themes and ideas. The first group performed ‘The Exhibition of Evil’, examining the reasons and influences that lead criminals to commit violent crimes. The second group’s performance, ‘Lady Lazarus’, explored the life and legacy of Sylvia Plath and the effect of her death upon those she left behind. The Year 13 students had rehearsed intensively for seven weeks, and the sophistication and variety demonstrated in the performances reflected their hard work, creativity and their advanced knowledge of the theatre.
