Music that Moves

On 30 April, St Chris Senior School students put on a spectacular show at our 10th Unplugged Concert. Once again, the performances were of a professional standard as the students here continue to improve their musicianship and performance skills in order to reach the high expectations they have set themselves.

The line-up included students from all Year groups, either performing as soloists, as part of a duet or an ensemble. It amazes both Miss Lewin and Miss Hill that they are still finding raw talent within the Senior School as new groups successfully complete their debut performances and challenge themselves to try new things. The song list featured music by Sam Smith, Ed Sheeran, The Fray, Amy Winehouse, Cee Lo Green and The Cinematic Orchestra.

The finale was a fantastic cover of the song ‘Little do you know’ performed by a group of Year 8 students which included 3 part harmonies and an original instrumental arrangement. Unplugged IX was a significant concert for our incredibly talented Rayan Bannaei for whom this was one of his final official performances at the School. As usual, he overwhelmed the audience with his passion and sheer talent, his performances will be sorely missed but we wish him the best of luck in his new musical adventures!
