A Peek into the Past

Y1 Museum

During the last week of our first half term, all Year 1 pupils visited The National Museum of Bahrain. This outing that kick-starts our study of the heritage and culture of The Kingdom of Bahrain – a study that culminates in our Bahraini Coffee Morning. All classes adored searching for important artefacts (including the Dilmun seal that served as inspiration for our school logo), wandered through the diorama of the old souk and found St Christopher’s on the giant aerial photograph that makes the floor of the main hall. Teachers and accompanying parents were all agreed that our children struck the right balance between enthusiasm and good behaviour. Thank you to The National Museum staff for welcoming us and to the parents who accompanied us, and of course, to the children and staff for making the visit so memorable.
