Walking for Nepal

A band of intrepid St Christopher’s Senior School teachers – AKA “The Saar Ramblers” – devised a novel way of raising money for the School’s Nepal Fund. Forsaking the stress of driving on the traffic clogged roads to Isa Town, they decided to walk to work instead. Mr Mulleague, Mr Pollard, Mr Stewart, Ms Al Hammoud, Mr Vaughan, Mr Jardine, Mrs Quigley, Mr Phillpots, Mr Leap and Mr Little embarked on the 14 kilometre walk at 4 am on Wednesday 20 January. Despite the darkness, fog and the occasional aggressive dog, they all arrived in one piece, two and a half hours later. Thanks to the generosity of colleagues, students and parents, the Walk to Work raised over BD550.
