Passing on Experience
Year 13 students, Yasmeen Jassim and Karim Abukhadra, made a presentation to a range of students in Years 10-13 relating to their experiences of applying to university in the USA. In an extremely well-delivered and articulate address, Yasmeen and Karim emphasized the importance of research, attaining the highest possible grades at GCSE, A-level, IB and SATs, developing a strong extra-curricular profile which demonstrates the willingness to go beyond the school curriculum, including the completion of online university courses (EDEX), and remaining true to your own personality in the required essays. The presentation was very well-received and we wish Yasmeen and Karim every future success at Stanford and Columbia respectively.
