Anything is Possible

We are delighted to announce that St Christopher’s Senior School now has its very own Triathlon Club. For the past month, twelve students, ranging from 11 – 17 years of age, have braved the salty sea down at Hamala beach in order to improve their open water swimming skills. For some, it has been their first experience of swimming long distances in the sea. Training takes place on a Friday or Saturday and after thirty minutes training in the sea, the students do a quick transition change and move onto the land for another thirty minute session; this time they complete run sets on the sand. When the weather changes and the sea water cools, we will be enthusiastically taking on the challenge of road biking in Zallaq and then, finally, we will be ready to compete! A huge ‘Thank You’ must go to Mrs Sissons, Mrs Subbiani, Dr Watson, Miss Weston, Mrs Cattallo, Aidan Shretta and Mr and Mrs Price for giving up their weekend time to help train and life guard our new triathletes.  We still have a few spaces in the club, please check portal for more information. As they say in triathlon lingo… ‘anything is possible’ and we encourage all ages to come and give this ECA a go. Swim, Bike, Run…
