Well Done Sabrina

We were delighted to take part in the fourth Sovereign Art Foundation Charity Student Art Exhibition, “Artwork For Children In Need”.

An outstanding total of BD 484,668 was announced during an exclusive Gala Dinner, which was held under the Patronage of H.H. Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa. All proceeds were donated to support the work of the Royal Charity Organisation, to enhance the education and welfare of orphans and widows across the Kingdom. “Such programmes enhance community partnerships and spread the culture of charitable work among students” said Shaikh Nasser.

We received a fantastic show of support from our students and their families, and many entries were submitted. Our Art teachers then took on the difficult task of selecting 17 pieces, across four different age categories, to submit on behalf of the school. The finalists were displayed during an exhibition at The Avenues shopping centre in April, held under the Patronage of H.E. Shaikha Mai Al Khalifa, President of the Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities.

The competition received nearly 35,000 pieces in total, and 300 made it through to the final. We were very proud to see the artwork of our Year 2 student Sabrina be selected as the winning piece in her age category! Sabrina received an award during the ceremony. Her Head of school, Mr Ian Fellows and her parents were also able to attend and support her during this special moment.

Thank you to the Sovereign Art Foundation, RCO and the team of distinguished artists and judges for hosting this fantastic community event, and giving students across Bahrain an opportunity to display their work!
