The Senior School RE department ran the popular ‘Faith through a lens Photography competition’ again this summer. This event has run on three previous occasions and this summer’s theme was ‘Mindfulness’. All Senior School students and staff were invited to enter up to two colour photographs they took in the holidays that they felt captured the theme of ‘mindfulness’. Entries had to state where the photographs were taken and be given a creative title. As in previous competitions, the entires were a speculator array of images from all over the globe with a wonderful, creative interpretation of the theme on display. The panel of judges had a difficult job but did select an overall winner. Congratulations to Saachi Kumar in Year 11 with her incredible shot of a young Buddhist Monk praying in a temple in India.

Judges Mrs Helen Smart, Mrs Tasneem Alsharqi and Mr Joe Mulleague commented: ‘The winning photograph really captured the theme of Mindfulness in a stunning image.’
