Music Interlude 1

This year’s musical interlude provided the perfect opportunity for our talented musicians to showcase the pieces that they are busy rehearsing for Young Musician of the Gulf 2019. The performances were warmly received by the audience and the students benefited from the experience of playing in front of their parents, peers and instrumental staff.

It is testament to the commitment of these students that they are prepared to take on such challenging pieces in addition to their regular academic studies. We were treated to performances on piano, violin, saxophone, flute, cello, trumpet and voice and we look forward to these students developing their talents and representing St Christopher’s School in January.

Chamber Concert

This year’s Chamber Concert on 26 November showcased the huge variety and diversity of talent within St Christopher’s School and it was particularly reassuring to see so many of the younger Senior School students participating in a wide variety of ensembles.

The audience were treated to enthusiastic performances celebrating Spanish, Mexican and Hungarian dances, Witch’s Fiddles, some lively Singing in the Rain and a fantastic rendition of Pseudo-Yoik from Jawhara.

The students always look forward to this concert as it gives them the opportunity to perform for their parents and friends in a more relaxed setting.
