This year, 21 schools took part in the BSME Games in Dubai. Day 1 was boys and girls Athletics and what a day it was! Our students were outstanding in every event with over 15 Gold medals won. Some memorable moments included watching our girls 4 x 200m relay team winning by over 120 meters and Jake Kimber being awarded Outstanding Male Athlete of the Day, winning Gold in the 400m, the High Jump and in the Shot Putt. Overall, we finished 2nd in Athletics out of the 21 schools. Day 2, was Girls’ Football and Boys’ Volleyball. Our girls won all their pool games, scoring a total of 27 goals with Haya Al Nusuf scoring 16 goals. After a nail biting semi final, our girls finished in well deserved Bronze place. Boys’ Volleyball was held at The Dubai British School, where we won 4 out of our 5 pool games and finished 5th in the tournament. On the final Day, our Girls Netball Team stole the show, winning all 5 pool games, winning the 1/4 final against BISAC and finishing 3rd overall. In Football, the boys won 3, drew 1 and lost 1 in the pool, finishing 10th overall. After totaling up all the results, St Christopher’s was placed in 3rd position with 4 points between the top 4 schools! A tremendous success and well done to all.
