Football Coaches Kenny Wallace and Toby Ebbs were joined by the SPARTA girls team as volunteer helpers and they were quickly inundated with footballers keen to show off their skills and join in the organised drills and matches.

Kenny has just returned from a trip to the UK updating his UEFA coaching badges where he also got the opportunity to visit the fantastic new English FA facility at St George’s Park. He is raring to get started with the keen SPARTA footballers and ensure every child, regardless of age and ability, improves their game.

Football Coaching takes place on Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a Match Day on a Saturday morning.

Introducing our new football coach Kenny Wallace

I wanted to be a soccer coach so that I can pass on my knowledge and experience of the game to help improve other players. I want to build a team that plays enjoyable, entertaining soccer and that has the desire to be successful and create a winning culture. In addition, I want to be a role model for my players so that they become better soccer players on the field as well as upstanding citizens of their community. I want to coach soccer so that I can learn more about coaching the game and learn through my players, peers and new experiences.

I  have played  professionally and achieved ‘Scotland National select’ level. I attained my Higher National Diploma in Sports Coaching and was then offered a soccer scholarship in the USA where I was captain for 3 out of my 4 years.

As my Dad once said to me, ”soccer is entertainment, so entertain me”

See you on the field

Kenny
