Children Supporting Children

Nursery Stride out to Support

In our Nursery, we love to help others, we want the children to grow up to be socially responsible and aware, and also appreciate what they have.

Step by step, the children enthusiastically strode around the Tiger Turf circuit raising money to support local paediatric oncology treatment. Through their efforts and your sponsors, we raised an amazing sum of money, BD2500!!!! This will help to make an enormous difference to a child’s chance of recovery. No words can thank you enough. Well done!!

Nursery Toy Drive

Thank you to all who donated toys and activities for Salmaniya Paediatric Oncology Department, the amount given was truly magnificent! Thank you too for modelling to your children, helping them to understand the true nature of a Global Citizen. There were numerous conversations with the children about being kind and helpful to other people. Many showed a true sense of empathy and caring through their thoughts and responses.

The toys were gratefully received by Dreena Rogers who will pass them on to the sisters working in the department. The toys will be used in the hospital playroom and some will be donated to the children. Thank you once again for your immense support of this worthwhile cause.

Nursery Teddy Bears’ Picnic

On a rainy day in Bahrain, RIA Nursery and the Society for the Blind Kindergarten joined the Nursery in their annual Teddy Bears’ Picnic. Everything moved from outside to in, nothing was going to stop the fun! The bouncy castle, parachute and picnic rugs were moved into the hall and the classrooms and Street were transformed into a teddy wonderland. At the beginning of the day, the teaching staff performed an impromptu composition of ‘Going on a Bear Hunt’ for the children. The bouncy castle made a wonderful bear cave! Throughout the morning, smiles and excitement were bountiful. Every child had a wonderful time and our visitors went home with a brand new teddy bear friend. Thank you to the parent volunteers for all of their help.
