Put to the Test
Forty-two Year 9 students participated in the World Class Tests for Mathematics. The approach in World Class Tests is to focus on a student’s mastery of the curriculum typically taught in early secondary schools. Each test requires students to apply creative thinking and logic to respond to problems and clearly communicate their thought processes. Students need to apply previous mathematics knowledge to new situations and use deductive reasoning to solve unfamiliar problems. Our Year 9 students received 2 Distinctions, 16 Merits and 16 Passes.
