The Festive Fayre this year, was organised by a small group of dedicated parents, linked with the Parent Teacher Organisation (PTO). These dedicated volunteers gave up hours of their time to organise the wonderful event this year. They (and we) felt like they lived at school in the days and weeks that preceded the event and for such dedication, we really can’t thank them enough. The Festive Fayre contained positive additions, such as the introduction of games cards, two pre-bookable grottos and also a ‘walk up and wait’ grotto. The games had been redesigned in places and renewed in others, and there were higher numbers of student volunteers than in previous years, to help organise and oversee each one. The addition of Cafe 61 meant that the community could enjoy a coffee and a bite to eat during the fayre, whilst enjoying the talent of the performers on the outdoor stage which faces the cafe. There was a wonderful atmosphere, with the sound of children laughing with sheer delight filling the air. Our raffle’s main prize was won by Aiden, from Y8 and was a top of the range Iphone. Aiden also then went on to win a huge TV too! May we take this opportunity to sincerely thank all the volunteers, PTO members, parents, staff, students and sponsors alike. The money raised will fund items for the students, which will further enhance their learning experiences at St Chris.
