We managed to dodge the rain on Thursday 21 November when the Year 5 & 6 children competed in their track and field athletics events. We saw some outstanding performances on display from both year groups. Athletes demonstrated their talent in 55m, 100m, 200m, 600m and the 4 x75m relay, while the field events consisted of high jump, running long jump, standing triple jump, ball throw, shot put and javelin. 

Congratulations to all those who took part, a special mention goes to our record breakers:

Kianna Haseid Year 6 girl’s javelin 15.80m

Tom Loozer Year 6 boy’s javelin 22.50m

Emma Finley Year 5 girl’s shot put 5.82m

Allegra Smith Year 6 girl’s shot put 7.36m

Ruhan Theron Year 5 boy’s long Jump 3.05m

Mayan Al Setrawi Year 6 girl’s triple jump 5.90m

4x75m relay Year 6 girls Osprey 51.25

Points from Year 5 and Year 6 were added together and the final places are as following:

1st Place- Merlin

2nd Place- Osprey

3rd Place- Kestrel

4th Place- Falcon
