As part of the Charity initiative led by Rushil Puri and Joanna Thomas, numerous boxes filled with clothes and blankets were collected during the conference and will be despatched to Syria through the Red Crescent Society. In addition, significant monies were raised and the final total will be confirmed in due course. ChrisMUN Directors, Rushil Puri and Abdullah Elqaq, both reflected on what MUN means to them personally and encouraged all participants to make the most of the opportunity. In her closing speech, Secretary General, Alishe Dhume, formally declared the conference open. The Conference was a distinct celebration of the significant achievement of the Sixth Form Student Leaders at St Christopher’s School. Their energy, drive and enthusiasm were a delight to behold over the two days. Running a conference catering for 250 high-calibre delegates from schools across Bahrain is no mean feat, as we all appreciate. ChrisMUN Directors, Rushil Puri and Abdullah Elqaq, are worthy of particular mention as they proved indefatigable in manner throughout, ensuring the smooth running of the many Councils, all led and presided over by highly capable Student Chairs. Participating students and accompanying staff all acknowledged the professionalism of the student organisation and all are looking forward to ChrisMUN 2017.
