Save it for a Brainy Day

The inaugural winners of the St Christopher’s Senior School quiz competition, Brains of Bahrain, were crowned in a thrilling final. ‘The Wunderdogs’, a team comprising students Anuja Jaiswal, Namita Joshua, Keerthana Ravindra and Aditi Shirke  triumphed in a closely fought contest over The QT Pi’s: Rebecca Marr and Persia Honar, Callum Haggarty and Nikita Krahenbuhl, after some seriously intense quizzing.

The Brains of Bahrain competition, a new initiative, gave 53 teams and 213 students the opportunity to compete for the trophy and medals in the final. Students from Years 7 to 13 demonstrated their knowledge in history, geography, pop trivia, sport, science and the arts, to take home the prize. Rounds included quick-fire general knowledge and a picture board. English teacher and organiser, James Harper said: “The contest has been a great success and a chance to show that students really do want to show off how clever they are in a fun, competitive environment.” Anuja Jaiswal of the winning team, said: “You’d be surprised at how much knowledge you have tucked away in the darkest corners of your brain. I’m really proud of the team and have really enjoyed the experience.”
