Scoring Against Cancer

On 26 April, the Charity Football Fun Day successfully raised BD300 for the Bahrain Cancer Society. The event kicked off with Year 5 and Year 6 playing against their peers and the older teams then played at noon. The upbeat music heightened the electric enthusiasm that all teams possessed, as did the overall support offered by parents, teachers and fellow students. Mr Cunningham bravely volunteered to be the victim of the ‘Sponge the Teacher’ stall, which was positioned directly beside the Bouncy Castle for all the kids to have fun at. Other stalls included ‘Shave the Balloon’, ‘Guess the Name of the Teddy’, Face Painting and Henna. The determined players also restored their energy at the Krispy Kreme and Dominos stands. Team ‘Hi’ won the Year 5 and 6 League, ‘Ultimate XI’ won the Year 7, 8 and 9 League, and ‘DC 2.0’ won the Year 10, 11, 12, 13 and Staff League. The event was a huge success and relieved us all of examination stress!
