Yazz Ahmed Jazz Workshop
On 7 April, a former St Chris student returned to host a workshop based on improvisation with the School Orchestra. As a Fusion composer, Yazz commissioned a piece that merged Jazz and Arabic music together. It was a fantastic day that offered an exceptional opportunity to the musicians here at the Senior School, who thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The students who attended were left inspired and enthused about Jazz and Improvisation, both of which were very evident in their performance of the piece at the Spring Concert on the 8 April here at the Senior School Hall.
