Year 7 Coffee Afternoon
On Monday 22 September, the Senior School welcomed Year 7 students and their parents for the annual Year 7 Coffee Afternoon. After a brief presentation by Ms Friar, students were able to take their parents on a tour of the school. During this time, parents also had the opportunity to speak to Form Tutors and to meet other parents. The event was well attended and the Year 7 Form Tutors, and Ms Friar, enjoyed the opportunity to meet so many parents.
Year 8 Coffee Afternoon
The Year 8 Coffee Afternoon took place on Monday 13 October. After a presentation by Sarah Gillard, Head of Year 8, about what to expect in the year ahead, including information on the chosen charity, Africa Kids Orphanage, and the forthcoming mini-enterprise project, parents were able to chat on an informal and individual basis with Form Tutors. Parents had the opportunity to tour the school with their children. There was a lot of positive feedback on the evening, especially from the parents of new students, who were delighted about how welcome their son or daughter had been made to feel at St Christopher’s.
