Museum Madness
Year 4 enjoyed a very informative trip to the Bahrain National Museum in October where they continued their learning on Bahraini crafts. They found out about all the traditional craftspeople who make and sell their wares at the souq. They also discovered how different illnesses used to be treated using a variety of herbal remedies.
Although the main focus was traditional crafts, the children were fascinated by the displays on family life and traditions in Bahrain. At the end of visit we visited the burial mounds exhibit and there was a great deal of interest in whether or not the lizard was real and whether it had moved!
So many children commented that they would love to go back to the museum with their parents to see all the other amazing displays.
