Pink Shines Bright
On Monday 12 October St Christopher’s School held a Think Pink day across both campuses in order to raise money for Think Pink Bahrain.
Students submitted designs for the Think Pink t-shirt competitions and out of many fantastic entries Zoe Hyatt in Nursery and Ryan O’Donnell in Year 6 were our winner and first runner up across the Infant and Junior Schools. The Senior School campus winner for the Think Pink t-shirt design was Abbie Tedford.
Our younger students had a fantastic day with the children coming into school wearing their purchased t-shirts, sold by our wonderful parent volunteers, and pink paraphernalia to match. At the Senior School, the students were very involved with the event with most activities and stalls being setup and run on the day by Mrs Bourner and the Community Service Leaders.
Activities ranged from pink donation pots from A’ali pottery, to stalls of hair braiding, pink nail varnish, song requests, a bake sale, a ‘Guess the baby photo’ competition, a Kahoot quiz, a Pink Raffle, a ‘Flower for a friend’ stall and the ever popular event of ‘Sponge the Teacher’.
Overall, the response to the events was overwhelming and our School managed to raise a total of BD3959, which will be donated to the Think Pink Foundation in Bahrain.
What a wonderful and extremely inspiring day.
