There’s a Shark in the Park!
On Saturday 9 January, our St Chris Sharks ran a fun team Gala in order to get the swimmers back into the water after the Winter holiday. Ninety-nine swimmers were placed into three teams called; Tiger Sharks, Great White Sharks and Whale Sharks; they battled it out and tried hard to gain points for their team.
Each team had a team captain who helped organise the warm up, give advice to the younger members of their squad, cheer on their team and show good sportsmanship. Well done to Roma Vrijhof, Luke Wilson, Chloe Grant, Faisal Zainal, Farah Van der Kooi, Maddie Harrison Mirfield, Cheyma Le Falher and Jamie Price who took on this role and tried to lead their team to victory.
Congratulations to all the swimmers and a huge thank you to all the parents who offered to help give up their time to make the Gala run smoothly. We could not run these events without your continued support.
A special thanks goes to the Vrijhof family for really getting into the spirit of the event and supplying the amazing shark banners and tiger masks.
