Outstanding Results!

The Outstanding Academic Achievement Awards Evening was held on Tuesday 5 January in the Saar Auditorium. This highly celebratory ceremony was attended by more than 250 students, families, honoured guests and teaching staff. The ceremony was opened by Ed Goodwin OBE, Principal of St Christopher’s School which was followed by an address from Lesley Davies OBE, Senior Vice-President of Qualifications, Standards and Efficiency, Pearson UK. The Big Band entertained the audience with foot-tapping renditions of Valerie, Mambo No 5 and Viva La Vida.

The GCSE Medals and GCSE Certificates were presented by Lesley Davies, assisted by Adrian Walker, Assistant Head of Senior School and Kathryn Beck, Head of Year. The A-level Medals and A-level and IB Certificates were presented by Lesley Davies, assisted by Hilary Rowark, Assistant Head of Senior School and Andrew Beck, Head of Year. The Edexcel Special Awards were presented by Lesley Davies, assisted by Rola Al Hammoud, Head of Year. The Alumni speeches were made by Sanjana Sarkar, who is studying Computer Science at the University of Pennsylvania and Anirud Gupta who is studying Engineering at the University of Cambridge. The closing address was made by Nick Wilson, Head of Senior School, which was followed by the Vote of Thanks proposed by the Head Girl, Alexandra Pafford and the Head Boy, Reece Guyon. The ceremony concluded with refreshments and formal photographs.
