Year 6 Keep on Running

At the start of Term3 , Year 6 gathered on the Tiger Turf to participate in the Year 6 Service Marathon Run. This year they were raising money for the Dream Society who had talked to our pupils earlier about the great work they do in granting wishes to some of the most poorly children in Bahrain.

The Year 6 children turned up in a rather astonishing array of fancy dress and had decided to run their laps of the Tiger Turf in many varied and…interesting ways. They ran, walked, jumped, rolled and skateboarded round the track, raising a huge amount of money in the process.

They all had a wonderful and somewhat warm time and we are delighted that they managed to raise a mightily impressive BD1263 for the charity! As Ali said, “Awesome! Can I do another lap?”

We would like to thank all of the Year 6 children, their parents, their sponsors and the Dream Society for helping with such a fantastic morning. They all deserve to put their feet up for a well-earned rest!
