Junior Boys Basketball (Under 13)
The Junior Boys had an excellent League season with some great performances, winning four out of the seven matches played. All the players showed great commitment and should be proud of their effort. The photos are of the match against Modern Knowledge School.

Intermediate Boys Basketball – 3rd Place
The Intermediate Boys Basketball Team have had a very rewarding season. We missed out twice on the closest of margins, losing both our games by only 4 points. The squad was made up of 15 dedicated players. The commitment and enthusiasm from all the boys were incredible. Captain Yaseen Le Falher, Vice-Captain Hadi Ahmed and myself had a difficult decision to choose a team each week. We had eight schools to play against in the BPSSL league. We did very well, losing just two games at the end of the season.
Senior Boys Basketball Season Review
It was a short but intense Basketball season for the Senior Boys. High intensity training sessions were expertly led by Team Captain, Abdulla Saudi, and ably assisted by Vice-Ccaptain (and 3 point specialist) Jack Pearce. The squad had a great team spirit and everyone knew their roles on the court. The season started well with controlled and high energy back-to-back victories over Al Raja and Riffa Views. Unfortunately, the same level of focus and determination were not shown as St Chris were beaten by our closest rivals The British School in a game that should have been more closely fought.
Our two toughest tests were still to come against the dominant MKS and Bahrain School teams. The St Chris team stuck together and did not roll over in either game put were ultimately beaten in both by some very impressive individuals and high levels of organisation. The most memorable game of the season came against IKNS. It was end-to-end with both teams having plenty of shooting opportunities, but the ball would not drop in the basket for St Chris. IKNS opened up a good lead and were in front for the first three quarters. However, the St Chris team kept believing and always thought they could get back in the game. In the fourth quarter, the shots started finding their target and St Chris overhauled a 10 point deficit to win by a single point in the last minute. The Tournament was also highly competitive: we won two games but lost out against MSK again, meaning we finished second in our pool. Well done to the entire squad for their massive effort, enthusiasm and camaraderie.

Junior Girls Basketball
The U13 Basketball Team had an awesome season. They dominated all the games in the League and Tournament. The girls played some exceptional Basketball. The defence was solid, the team spirit was excellent and there was a commendable display of sportsmanship. Shooting practice, however, will be first priority at the start of next season. Well done to: Danielle Wilkinson, (Captain), Bruna Elias, Manni Zhang, Erica Moolman, Amy Brereton Stuart, Stephanie Hall, Georgina Lewis, Jenna Nasser, Ellie Sissons, Leya Husain and Aalya Hashim.
Player of the Season: Manni Zhang
Most Improved Player: Ellie Sissons.

BPSSL Tournament
“The BPSSL end of season tournament took place at Bayan School on Monday 20 April. It was a disappointing first game losing 4-6 to Bahrain School. It was a nail biting game, as we had already beaten them in the League. The second game was against IKNS. The first 4 Baskets were scored by Carmen followed by a ‘3 pointer’ and a fantastic screen by Chloe. Final score, we won 16-8. The third game was against RVIS. A quieter game, very calm and we won 8-3. The last game, we played MKS. Marwa scored first with two free throws. There was some fantastic screening again by Chloe and some outstanding Baskets scored from Raiya and Aarti. Final score, we won 10-8 with Sarah scoring the last Basket with five seconds on the clock remaining! A great ending to a tense and exciting tournament”
