Off to Nice …
A St Christopher’s School Year 10 student has been granted a fully funded Scholarship courtesy of the French Embassy in Bahrain. This Scholarship, named after French Author, Jules Verne, includes the costs of flights, accommodation, full board and French tuition on the idyllic French Riviera. The course will run in the first two weeks of August 2015, and include lessons in French as well as excursions to St Tropez, Cannes and Monaco. A presentation was given to students and parents interested in this unique opportunity. Year 10 students formally applied and were then invited for interview with Mr Williams and Mrs Rowark. After much deliberation, due to the very high calibre of applicants, Elizabeth Caley was awarded the Scholarship. Elizabeth will be travelling to Nice in August 2015 and will have the opportunity to immerse herself in the French language and culture. We wish her every success in this exciting linguistic and cultural adventure.
