Greek Greatness!
Year 4 Greek Day was an Olympic success this year with a wonderful photography session to start the day. This was followed by a noisy procession and opening ceremony to the 2015 Olympic Games.
Everyone competed enthusiastically in the six events and the winners, Megara, were jubilant. Several children were awarded good sportsmanship prizes by their team members.
Later in the day, the Ancient Greeks were able to show off their creativity and game playing ability when they made their own coins, clay pots, dramatic masks and played an ancient game of stealth in their Battle Game.
The day ended with an enormous feast: no one has ever seen more humus or vine leaves in Year 4 before, and a quiet few minutes enjoying Disney’s Hercules.
A great day was had by all!
