Emirates GC Junior Open 2016

On the 11 November, five members of the St Christopher’s Golf Team, accompanied by Mr Hobday, travelled to Dubai to compete in the Emirates Junior Open. The weekend was a huge success with the team coming away with a total of four prizes and having gained a lot of experience. Yaseen Le Falher and Ronan Smith played exceptionally well with Yaseen being crowned Emirates Junior Open Champion, with a score of gross 72, and Ronan dominating the Boys nett section with an impressive score of 61. Both Yaseen and Ronan also won a nearest to the pin side contest each, which rounded off the prizes for the team.

Alex Hopman, Sebastian Woodrow and Charles t’Kint de Roodenbeke also played some very impressive golf with scores of 89, 93 and 91 respectively. The weekend trip was an amazing experience for all five players who took part and was extremely enjoyable. The team would like to thank Mr Hobday for his support and guidance over the past few years as this has made a tremendous difference to our performances. We are hoping to continue this run of good form and to continue to work hard to be prepared for the upcoming BSME Championships in February 2017. ~ Yaseen Le Falher, Golf Captain 2016-17
