The United Kingdom Mathematics Trust Individual Maths Challenges are lively, intriguing multiple choice question papers, which are designed to stimulate interest in maths in large numbers of stduents. The three levels cover the secondary school range 11-18 and together they attract over 600,000 entries from over 4,000 schools and colleges. In November 2017, forty Year 12 and Year 13 students participated in the Senior Maths Challenge. To recognise the highest performers in the Challenge the top-scoring 60% of participants are awarded bronze, silver and gold certificates in the ratio 3:2:1. Twenty-five of our students achieved awards: 3 Gold, 11 Silver and 11 Bronze. Mounir Hinedi achieved the best score in Year 12 to accompany his Silver Award and Sami Al Alawi, Year 13, achieved the overall best score in the school to accompany his Gold Award. Well done to all award winners.
