What makes me feel proud?
There was an impressive line up for our final “What makes me feel proud” assembly for this school year. We began with a very smartly-dressed group of rugby players (Jed, Joe, Youssef, Jason, Giles, Tom and Andreas) from Year 3 who enlightened us about their favourite passion. It was clear from their medals and trophies that they also excel at this, their favourite sport.
George, 4D, with the help of a PowerPoint presentation, talked us through the extremely valuable service work he has been undertaking recently, befriending migrant workers at a labour camp. It was wonderful to see George (and his family) enjoying recreational time with the workers and I am sure hearing about his endeavours will have inspired others to think of ways to get involved.
Rohan, also from 4D entertained us on the drums and Amalie proudly showed us a selection of her swimming awards.
From Year 5, we had Khushi, Josie, Rebecca and Alex. Khushi performed a modern Indian dance very expressively and Josie sang for us. Rebecca shared her skills and passion for swimming with us and she has every reason to be proud of her outstanding achievements. Alex’s achievements in the sporting arena were also impressive.
For our Year 6 students this was their final chance to take part in a “proud” assembly at the Junior School and they definitely shared their talents! Eman from 6E shared a PowerPoint crammed full of achievements.
We were treated to an array of musical delights from Year 6 pupils; Francesca, Sausthava and Felix. Francesca performed a beautiful rendition of Edith Piaf. Sausthava showed his flair and technical skills on the piano. Unable to showcase his talents after some technical difficulties in the last “proud” assembly, Felix wowed us with his performance on the guitar.
As always, this was a fabulous assembly, providing us all with a sense of encouragement and pride.
