Competing in the Gulf
On 30 April, 12 St Christopher’s Sharks travelled to Dubai to compete in the two day Middle East Unity Cup Swim Championships. This was the first overseas trip that allowed a mixture of swimmers from the Infant, Junior and Senior Schools. For some of our swimmers it was the first time they had travelled outside Bahrain to compete in an overseas event. In this event there were 18 schools from all over the Gulf region, comprising of over 450 swimmers in total. The competition was held in the amazing centre of Hamdan Sports Complex which houses a multitude of pools for training and events.
