Recycled uniforms on their way to Kenya

After a year and a half of organising, counting, folding and storing,  St Christopher’ s School has finally said ‘Goodbye!’ to a  collection of over 4000 pieces of former school uniform. They were picked up courtesy of DHL and shipped to Dubai. Al Tawfeek Removals kindly donated new boxes for the students to pack.  St Chris students gave up their weekends  to sort,  count and tape, Mr Wilson purchased donuts to keep the students  smiling; teachers donated their free time to help organise and collate, Ms McKay counted boxes and gave instructions…………. and the lovely school staff shifted and lifted!

At last,  the logistics of shipping and clearing customs have been surmounted; the clothes will be flown from Dubai and  received by Hillcrest Secondary School in Nairobi, Kenya in the very near future.  We have a long term connection with Hillcrest; four members of staff have previously worked there!  We will keep you posted………
