An Explosive Discussion
Last month, myself and a select group of St Christopher’s students were lucky enough to meet Dr Hans Blix and hear him speak about one of the most important topics of today, Nuclear Weapons. Dr Blix is a former head of the International Atomic Energy Agency and in February 2010, the Government of the United Arab Emirates announced that Blix will be the head of an advisory board for its nuclear power programme. In his address, Dr Blix provided a fascinating insight into the nuclear debate, presenting a wide range of perspectives and issues, which stimulated significant discussion amongst the students who had the privilege to attend this event.
