Making Dreams Come True

St Christopher’s was delighted to host the 35th Annual BSME Conference in Bahrain this March. We welcomed approximately 150 School Principals and Heads of Schools from across the Middle East. Traditionally, the hosting school organises a welcome event at the start of the conference, the proceeds of which are donated to a local charity, and this year we were delighted to nominate the Dreams Society as the beneficiary.

The Dreams Society make dreams come true for terminally or seriously ill children in Bahrain, in the hopes of creating lifelong memories which the child, their family and carers can treasure forever. These dreams are made a reality through the support of sponsors and volunteers. Members of BSME all work closely with children of all ages, and we therefore found it fitting to pledge our support to this very worthy cause. A video of their work can be found here:

Hannan Mahmoud, Senior Coordinator from the Dreams Society came to our Saar campus after the event to collect the cheque, and we were delighted to have been able to raise BD 1,556.

We would like to thank Viitech for their sponsorship and support of this event.

BSME (British Schools in the Middle East) is one of the largest membership organisations for British Curriculum schools in the world. The organisation benefits from 101 School Members, 95,000 Students, 6,900 Teachers and 70 Associate Members.
