An Arty Evening

The seventh St Christopher’s School’s IB Diploma Visual Arts Exhibition was opened by Head of Senior School, Mr Nick Wilson on Monday 27 March. Featuring outstanding work by Nayla Al Khalifa, Razan AlKhair and Zeina Muhtadi, the Exhibition was tremendously diverse, showcasing work produced in photography, sculpture, painting, print-making, mixed media and embroidery. The concepts underpinning the work included Femininity in an Arabic Context, Form and Structure inspired by Contemporary Architecture, and Cultural Identity and a Sense of Place. Along with their exhibition, the three students also produced a Process Portfolio and a Comparative Study, which is an opportunity to demonstrate critical research and analysis linking their work to that of other artists. We congratulate the three students on a superb Exhibition and wish them every success with their IB Diploma results and in their future careers beyond St Christopher’s.
