Students Leading the Way
Two of our intrepid Year 12 students, Mohamed Bella and Ricardo del Rio Fuente, organised the first ever St Christopher’s School TED-x conference on Thursday 6 April. All 100 tickets were sold and the 10 presentations eagerly awaited. Our conference was officially licensed and the videoed presentations will be posted for the whole world to view. Officially, a TED-x conference is ‘a suite of short, carefully prepared talks, demonstrations and performances that are idea-focused, and cover a wide range of subjects to foster learning, inspiration and wonder – and provoke conversations that matter.’
The 10 presentations covered a wide range of themes, but all were captivating and delivered with great authority by the student speakers, who were from Year 10 to 12.
