Bienvenida a un día de diversión
The inaugural Hispanic Day, designed to celebrate the very diverse cultures and traditions of the Spanish-speaking world, took place on Thursday 5 December in the School Hall. The event featured a fashion show and a number of stalls created by the Bahrain Latino Community and St Chris parents who donned traditional dress for the occasion and prepared traditional snacks and treats for tasting by intrigued students and staff. Students following Spanish in the curriculum were invited to wear Mufti reflecting the colours of the flags of Spain and South America. We would like to thank the Art Department, and the following parents and Bahrain Latino Community members for helping us make our very first Hispanic Day a great success.  Representing Venezuela: Andy Salandy and Carla Chavez, Guatemala:  Claudia Chacon, Sarbeth Rivera and Melissa de Morales; Perú: Lourdes Silva; Honduras: Jessica Martinez; Colombia: Adriana Vargas and Blanca Rosania; Spain: Ruth Lluch, Marta Fuente,Carolina Girones and Beatriz de la Hoz  and  Mexico: Nicola Woolf/Alexandra Pafford.
