Fire Fighter Fun

Nursery had a fabulous visit from Manama fire brigade. They brought along their yellow fire engine for all the children to explore.

The firemen showed all the different tools and appliances they use for their job.

Speaking on the radio

The children were fascinated by the hoses, the extending ladders, sand bags and heavy helmets. There were shrieks of delight when the special spotlights were protracted from the top of the truck.

The grand finale was the sprinkler in the playground. The spontaneous yells of exhilaration rebounded around the playground. Even the Accounts staff couldn’t resist a peek at the excitement on the other side of the glass. One parent wrote, “I just wanted to say a huge thank you to  your team for organising the visit of the fire brigade. My daughter has not stopped talking about the visit and how much she enjoyed it. Thanks again”

The children and some of the teachers surrendered to the lure of the water, as they splashed and wallowed in the fantastic fun! A little voice in NF said, “Mrs Lonsdale, that was so much fun. Can we do it every day?”
