Swinging into Action
The highlight of the golfing year once again was the Staff v Students Golf Match which took place on the Mini Monty at The Royal Golf Club recently. In very close matches, Mr Hobday & Mr Armstrong beat Faris Brough & Nayel Al Borshaid 2&1 whilst Mrs Hobday & Ms Sheppard lost 1 down to Sebastian Woodrow & Ronan Smith. However, all the other matches were very one sided with the students winning 6&5 in each of them!!
This resulted in a 4-1 victory to the students, thereby regaining The Pasturel Trophy which was presented to the School Golf Captain, Faris Brough. The overall score now stands at 10-4 to the students. In the staff competition, Mr Tayler won with a massive 49 points, closely followed by Mr Stewart and Mr Hobday on 47 points with the former winning on countback. Well done to everyone who took part and we look forward to next year’s match where hopefully the staff will try and win the trophy back!!
