Elegance on the Menu
On Friday 17 April, over 430 students and staff, including Guests of Honour, Mr Ed Goodwin, Principal, Mrs Wendy Bataineh, Head of Junior School and Mr Nick Wilson, Head of Senior School, attended the stylish and elegant Summer Ball held at the Ritz Carlton Hotel which was held pre-public examination season for the first time in many years. Following a Reception and photographs, seats were taken in the magnificent splendour of the Al Ghazal Ballroom. The buffet opened following welcome addresses by Head Girl, Alex Pafford and Head Boy, Reece Guyon, and Head of Senior School, Mr Nick Wilson. After dinner, an address by Mr Steven Keeble, Deputy Head of Senior School, was followed by a slide show of Year 13 Baby Photos, a Grand Raffle, the presentation of Student Awards, a combined Staff and Exec Team Dance to “All that Jazz” and a disco. The evening was a great success and was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the achievements of the year to-date.
