Ending on a Very Proud Note!

Our final Proud Assembly for this year was held on the 22 May and our children spoke out confidently and with passion on variety of topics but with a definite emphasis this time on all things sporting!

Gymnastics was high on the agenda with Tabitha, Wilma and Leanne (5F) providing us with a presentation on their enthusiasm and a demonstration of their skills. Hibah (4E) and Katelin (6F) also spoke of how much gymnastics means to them and showed video clips of them in action. We also watched a breathtaking display from Katelin who is now a level 5 gymnast.

Amara (4A), Jenna (4E) and Nicole (4E) showed us a very colourful PowerPoint in which they thanked their coaches, their parents and told us which were their favourite strokes and their experiences competing at galas and included advice from their swimming hero Michael Phelps. “You can’t put a limit on anything. The more you dream, the farther you get.”

“KEEP CALM and SWIM ON”

Sana (4E) who comes from a family of passionate swimmers, thanked her parents, her coaches and the school and told us how proud she was at last week’s swim championships to break the school 100m backstroke record, and shared her growing collection of medals and trophies.

We finished the swimming section with presenting medals and a trophy to some of the children who missed the swimming assembly when they were rehearsing for Mary Poppins.

Amelia (4F) told us all about her pony, Mazzie, her show jumping and dressage and shared video clips of them in action together.

Erin (4E) and Dara (4C) outlined all the fun they have at netball, just how much they have improved and how it is never too late to try!

All of them emphasized the importance of practice, practice, practice!!!

Definitely, a final proud assembly to end an excellent school year.

We are proud of you all!
