From Little Acorns

On a recent January morning, a group of Year 2 children excitedly awaited the arrival of their Year 8 friends to the Infant School.

Together, they played a game designed by the Year 8 students on Scratch, the exciting new software which both year groups have been working with in ICT.

Year 8, assisted by Mr Steene, were impressed by the enthusiasm and skills of the younger children and by their honest and constructive feedback.  Year 2 were in awe of the older children with their ICT abilities and said they couldn’t wait to be in “big school” to develop their own Scratch games. Watch out Mr Steene, you have some ICT experts coming your way!

Miss Colhoun commented “It was great to see the older and younger children working so well together. We hope we can recreate this experience with future ICT projects.”
