Examination Performances

Drama1

During the first two weeks in March, our Year 11 GCSE students took to the stage with their final examination performances. Unit 3 is worth 40% of the overall GCSE marks, so the pressure was on to create their best work yet… and the audience was not disappointed!  Innovation and creativity were evident in every play – the Year 11s surpassed themselves. Over two weeks, we saw seven outstanding and thought-provoking performances: Mrs Beck’s group performed in the first week and brought their creative blend of script and devised work to create performances of ‘Medea’, ‘Columbine’ and ‘There is No Fear Greater Than Fear Itself’. In the second week of performances, Mrs Leap’s group performed innovative adaptations of scripts: ‘4:48 Psychosis’, ‘Frankenstein’, ‘Beauty and the Beast’ and ‘Girls Like That’.  Congratulations to all of the GCSE Drama students – you worked with absolute commitment towards these performances and deserved all the success you achieved.
